Bay just south of Tenacatita

We are almost to Barra de Navidad (about 3 hours) and have been anchored out here for 2 days. We wanted to anchor out at Tenacatita but the beach has been closed due to the fact that there is legal dispute on who owns the land. Check out our positon on the left side of blog. The trip south has been smooth and uneventful which is nice. We did do a night passage from LaCruz and it was very pleasant. It will be fun to be in Barra with Dave and Cindy as they go there every year for a month and know locals and places to eat, get supplies and take care of business. We did have a great experience with dolphins where we first anchored. There was one who came up to the boat and kept scratching his back on our chain, we had never seen that before. After reading some of the books we have on this area we learned that his name is Chipie and he is a local favorite. It was very magical! We did the dinghy jungle trip up the river and saw many birds but no alligators!. We have been playing Mexican train and having a great time. We think about you all love you very much. When we get to Barra I will post pictures. Linda and Jim
