October 25, 2010 - Here we are in Oxnard, California. We are docked at the Channel Islands Yacht Club. We came in on Sunday because weather forecasts were for 25 to 35 knot winds out at Santa Cruz Island. We spent one night there and it was pretty rolly-polly. We did a night crossing from Morro Bay to Santa Cruz Island and it would have been nice to stay another day at Santa Cruz Island and hike and explore it. It has been fun to be at the dock and the yacht club. Talking to the locals and getting to know the area. Our next stop is Catalina Island. It is about 10 hours from here. We will anchor at Two Harbors at Catalina Island.
October 27, 2010 – We are leaving today for Catalina Island. It is blowing 17-22 knots here at the dock so we will wait until daybreak to leave. We are looking forward to a great sail south. We all got up early and are bright eyed and bushy tailed (not) to leave but the wind is blowing us into the dock Sorry we haven’t been on AIS perhaps we will show up once we get out of the harbor. More to come………
