Marina De La Paz

We are now moored at Marina De La Paz. This pic is of Jim showing off his tan. Needless to say the locals here think he is one of them. I am back from the northwest. I so enjoyed seeing the family and being with everyone. Thanks Shelley for arranging the wonderful lunch with Ashton and Shan. What a treat to see you all. Anna was wonderful as usual allowing me to use her farm truck while I was there. I stayed at Dan's home and what a treat-his place is beautiful and comfortable, we were able to hang out together and visit. I was also able to see several of Tyler and Shawn's baseball games. Everything is great in the northwest and I got a clean bill of health.

We are heading out to the Sea of Cortez on Monday. I can't wait as the water is clear and warm with visibility being at least 30 feet. Our friend Carol is going to go with us for a week up into the Sea. There is an anchorage that we can swim with the sea lions. I will take pictures and post them when I can. Marina De La Paz is a cruiser friendly marina and we have met many new people. All are very helpful and informative, many have been here for years.

Jim barly survived being without me for 2 weeks but he did manage somehow :). I will have to survive without him for 2 and a half weeks when he comes up in June. We both think that it is a lot more fun having the other person around. Even if there are times when we get on each other's nerves. Jim did say that if he gets grumpy just remind him of how sad he was when I was up north. The pictures to the left are ones that Jim took of a fellow cruiser's boat as they there loading it on dockwise. A semi sinkable ship that raises and lowers itself to allow ships to motor into it so that they can be shipped anywhere in the world. Very interesting.
