Life in Brisbane, California

All is well here in the Bay area. We have been here almost a month now. The time has flown with boat projects, visiting with family, hikes and bike rides. We have had a few issues with the boat such as the life raft. We had a company deploy it as it has not been serviced for 12 years. It was amazing when they pulled the rip cord and it inflated. Then about 30 seconds later it deflated. Needless to say we are waiting the arrival of our new life raft to put on the boat. We had an issue with one of the batteries going bad so we replaced that and now are looking into possibly buying a new charger. We also had a minor repair to one of the spinnaker poles. These items are things that we will have to work out before we leave California. So we still have time to solve them, if not here in the Bay Area then down in San Diego.

We went to Angel Island and anchored out one night. It is a state park and reminded us of some of the islands in the San Juans. Look it up on the net as it has a lot of history. We hiked it and saw lots of deer and racoons. What fun!

I went to Monteray with Kathleen for two days. We stayed at the Monteray Hotel and Spa. What a treat and the aquarium was amazing. The weather has turned a little cooler (50's and 60's) but it still is very nice.

We have really enjoyed Brisbane and our new boat friends. Two of the couples will be leaving soon for the Baha-haha. We are planning to meet up with them again somewhere in Mexico. We think of you all and hope all is well with you. Please post a comment or two if you can.
